February 28, 2015 - We are more than ready for the winter weather to be at an end here at Moonbow. This summer we hope to patch some of the rough spots on the runway and clean-up the bathroom. We are working on getting the office opened up again, and long term we still plan to get the runway lights and fuel going as money and time permit.
October 25, 2014 - The first annual Moonbow Pumkin Smash was a smashing success! We had lots of food:
Lots of spectators:
And lots of pumpkins (including some highly decorated works of art by some of the younger participants):
Some novel methods of pumpkin delivery were used:
And a safety officer supervised the drop zone:
Reloads were permitted, so many pilots made multiple runs:
Closest drop was Don Jordan with 18 feet; next came Joe Bowen, with John Pollack in third. Pat Tuckey had the most creative drop mechanism, with Win Harris's PER (Pumpkin Ejection Rack) taking second. We had a great time and most everyone plans on returning next year!
August 1, 2014 - As of this date we have all of the enclosed hangars filled. Although there are open hangars available, we now have a waiting list for enclosed hangars.
January 26, 2014 - The aerobatic practice area at Moonbow was activated. Please note that you may not use the box unless you contact the Airport Manager first.
February 7, 2013 - Pat and Katie purchased Moonbow.
